Not your typical story....

You've probably all heard of the magician who has performing magic since he was waist high to a grasshopper. how he fell in love with magic and started performing for his pre-school friends. well, this isnt that kind of story. it is interesting nonetheless and it is a true story...... but then again, I am a pathelogical liar........ just kidding. David Cook is a little unusual in how he got started in magic. Of course, he was interested in magic from a early age, but who isn't amazed when some guy takes a one dollar bill and turns it into $100? David married young and started several business in Florida and Texas. he is the father of 2 wonderful girls Ambre the oldest at 14 and sydney at 8. it was a few years ago that sydney wanted to do something with her dad at the kindergarten show and tell. they talked about a few things and settled on buying a magic kit from walmart and doing a small 6 min show together for her class. they did it, but in the process David became infatuated with magic.

David would perform magic that he learned in books and from videos for his customers at his family owned paintball field. the customers loved it and it only made david want to do it that much more. So he sought out other magicians to learn from. Several magicians took him under their wings, they knew talent when they saw it and david was full of potential.

At Sydneys request, David started performing professionally about 3 years ago. He has performed as the house magician for several restaurants. performed large stage and illusion shows, performed at fairs and trade shows. the boy scouts, Seaworld executives, the san antonio country club, ronald McDonald house, St. Louis Church fallfest, medina valley middle schools, many a bride and groom, and too many birthday party audience members to count (over 1000's).

A member of the international brotherhood of Magicians, an officer of the local ring 18. A creator of several original effects. a talented builder of large stage illusions. david takes his craft very seriouosly.

He may not have performed for his childhood friends that he cant remember anyway, he may have only recently started by typical standards, but he got here as soon as he could, took the art seriously, poured is passion into his trade and never looked back for even a second.
