The Penny Trick

Effect: 5 pennys are in a paper bag. each one has a different date. magician turns their back and one penny is selected. it is passed out to all spectators to examine the date and placed back in bag. Magician finds selected penny.

Secret: Copper is a heat conductor. after everyone touches (warms) penny just find the warmest penny in bag for the selection., Post it up prediction

Effect: Spectator is asked to write a name or number on a piece of paper. magician correctly answers what was written.

Secret: Hand spectator a "post it note" and pen and have them write something on it with your back turned against a wall.. when note is handed to you, open it and stick it to wall after you turn around. Look into their eyes then turn around and read their mind (actually read the note stuck on the wall.). Remove paper when you turn around again open it to reveal. X marks the card

Effect: selected card is only card in deck with an X

Secret: one card with an X on back and double sided tape on front is placed on bottem of deck. when a selected card is lost in deck (bottom card "cut" on top of selection) it is revealed to be the only card with an X on it. Against my better judgement, I am including some free easy "magic" tricks for you to perform. Have fun with them, dont tell the secret if you want to amaze them and dont be too smug when you fool them. hopefully this will encourage you to want to learn more magic and seriously study our art form.
